Protekt Insurance Brokers was incorporated in 2008 as an independent Auckland-based Insurance Brokerage, specialising in Business & Personal Insurance. Being a small Brokerage we excel in providing personal attention to our client’s needs, offering a professional, confidential & friendly service. Serving our clients is our Business!

Our vision is not to become the biggest nor the most profitable Insurance Broker in all of New Zealand. Our vision is simply to become the most respected insurance broker in the marketplace.

Meet some of the Team


Barry Tremaine has over 40 years’ experience in the New Zealand insurance market, having worked 20 years with leading insurers, encompassing underwriting, claims & management, plus 20 years as an independent insurance broker, providing professional expertise.

Barry is a registered Financial Advisor and is qualified as a Senior Associate Certified Insurance Professional (CIP) of the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance & Finance.


Kim Williams has worked for Barry for over 10 years.She performs general administration duties, as well as assisting clients with their enquiries regarding policies or claims, and is the voice behind the phone calls.

Kim manages a positive relationship with clients, underwriters and account managers from the major insurers in NZ.She is a North Shore local, family orientated, with two wonderful sons.
